Lately I've been making my own clothes... Like easy stuff...
I dyed some tan/white striped gloves that I had cause I would never wear them... they just didn't match anything so i dyed them black, and magenta stripes... I kept the white stripes too & put a pink heart in the corner of one glove...
then I cut the fingers off so I could wear them regularly with my outfits, not just as gloves and I've been sewing the edges... its still a work in progress but I'm on my way...
I also had some other sock gloves that would, yet again, never match so I dyed them pink, light pink, white, and black...;)
When I was younger I had made scarves for me and my friends... I still have it but its way too small and I forgot how to make them sadly:(
I tried knitting when I was younger... ha ha didn't go over too well:P and I forgot how to do it anyway... I was trying to make a scarf for my sister for her birthday but never finished it... Its STILL not finished;)
I've also made a choker-sort-of-thing out of ribbon and a unused purse... and out of the strap of that purse I made a dog collar and a matching bracelet... I never wear it but its something I could maybe use as a costume later;)
I had an idea a while back that I could make a shirt that was a converse shoe except it was a shirt... I'm trying to decide if I want the laces going up the front of the shirt or the back...;)
I have a lot of Pink and Orange tops I never wear that I could make the shirt out of
I'd probably go for Orange... I really wanna find matching Orange converse to go with it... I looked to no avail... My friend has the right color converse to go with it but she bought them years ago...
Iv made a lot more simple jewelry before... even took apart and mixed up jewelry that I've never worn before to have them match my other outfits... I really wanna take jewelry at my school in the next couple of years but I'm not sure if I could fit it in my schedule...:P

More Poems cause I have no idea what to post...:)

Heres another poem and you have to figure out what they are describing:

The creature ate its words -- it seemed to me
strangely weird -- when I heard this wonder:
that it had devoured -- the song of a man.
A thief in the thickness of night -- gloriously mouthed
the source of knowledge -- but the thief was not
the least bit wiser -- for the words in his mouth.

Haha i'll let you think about that for a while and then ill tell you what it is later;)

Where the Sidewalk ends

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

I love this poem because we really dont know where the sidewalk ends

The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I love this poem too mainly because of the last sentence... "I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." That quote is one of my favorites because I think everyone should take the road less traveled by, even if it means standing out, it will make the world a much more colorful and unique place, instead of a bunch of clones:)
"I must do what others wont, so I can have what others don't." Thats another one of my favorite quotes... my brother has that quote taped up on his ceiling above his bed and I'v always loved that phrase:D I totally agree with it too:)

Still I Rise by Maya Angelou
You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

Just like moons and like suns,
With the certainty of tides,
Just like hopes springing high,
Still I'll rise.

Did you want to see me broken?
Bowed head and lowered eyes?
Shoulders falling down like teardrops.
Weakened by my soulful cries.

Does my haughtiness offend you?
Don't you take it awful hard
'Cause I laugh like I've got gold mines
Diggin' in my own back yard.

You may shoot me with your words,
You may cut me with your eyes,
You may kill me with your hatefulness,
But still, like air, I'll rise.

Out of the huts of history's shame
I rise
Up from a past that's rooted in pain
I rise
I'm a black ocean, leaping and wide,
Welling and swelling I bear in the tide.
Leaving behind nights of terror and fear
I rise
Into a daybreak that's wondrously clear
I rise
Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave,
I am the dream and the hope of the slave.
I rise
I rise
I rise.
I love that poem... the connections Maya makes with the "I rise" and a thing in real life that actually rises like "Into a daybreak thats wondrously clear, I rise" because a daybreak is like the sun rising so even though its not saying this to me its like shes saying she rises with the sun too:)
The first one was a bookworm:)
Ha ha I so didnt get that  one at first:P

Two Dead Boys Get Up To Fight

Random Poem:
Free admission, pay at the door
Pull up a seat and sit on the floor
I'll tell you a story I know nothing about
You enjoy it as you sit there and pout:
One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back-to-back they faced one another,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
One was blind and the other couldn't see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and shot the two dead boys.
A paralysed donkey walking by,
Kicked the copper in the eye,
Sent him through a rubber wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.
If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man -- he saw it too!
Thats a awesome random poem that my friend nicole showed me
I love how everything is opposites and it really messes with your brain:)
It makes sense to me for some reason though...:D

I Got my room done!

For all the years in my life I have never gotten my room painted...
But a couple weeks ago I finally did!
My bedroom is shaped really awkwardly...
Its shaped like this...
-------------------------------------
l..............................................l
------........................................l
****l........................................l
****l........................................l
****l........................................l
****--------------------------------
Ha ha... i guess that works:P
So i did the longest wall lime green and another wall lime green... its a very bright lime green... its Like this color
And all the other walls I did purple :D
Except my bedroom used to be a kitchen so i still have a counter, sink, and top draws in my bed Room so we haven't gotten that out yet or painted that wall:P
For some reason there was carpet in the kitchen though....
In the top right corner i have my loft bed there...
Along the top wall i have black cork board to hang all of my artwork on but the cork board keeps falling down... good thing I haven't put any artwork up yet:P
On the opposite wall (the bottom wall) is where the counter, sink, and top draws are...
When I take the counter and all that stuff out I'm going to have the sink in the bottom left corner... sadly i couldn't get rid of the sink...
And in the bottom right corner I'm going to get a cushion chair to go there because I don't have a spot where I can just sit and read or draw because I have a loft bed and its about a foot and a half from the ceiling:P
So I guess that's all I can think of for now :3

To Write Love on Her Arms

twloha.jpg

It all started with a story. The real story of a girl named Renee, and her friends; whose unconditional love helped her find hope in the midst of her struggles with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. From those humble beginnings, ‘To Write Love On Her Arms' (TWLOHA) is a non-profit organization that has become an international movement aimed at providing encouragement, inspiration, education, and even funding treatment for young people dealing with the same issues as Renee.

Over the last several months TWLOHA has been rapidly expanding. By partnering with several bands who have allowed the group to tour with them, they have been given a platform to spread their message of hope across the globe. Additionally, they use their myspace and facebook page as a forum for discussion and encouragement as well as a link to resources for treatment. Thousands logged on everyday to talk about their own struggles with depression, self-esteem, and drugs addiction.

At my church, Ward Presbyterian Church, To Write Love on Her Arms is coming there on March 22, 2009 at 6:00. This event is non-church related, its just to help people who are struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. Its not like we are gonna act all nice and then strike you with things about Jesus, its just to help those people out:)

How Do We Do This??

Days are selected through out the year, the organization picks days, and people write LOVE on each others wrists to show that you support the cause and that you are loved. You don't even have to have LOVE written on your arm for only that time, you could have it written all the time to show you support for it. People also ask questions like "Why is love written on your arm?" if they don't know what the cause is, its a good conversation starter about it, plus you can spread the word to others and crate good relationships with them.

Let me introduce myself...

Well in my language arts class we were saposed to make a blog...
Whenever someone tells me to sit down and write something having to do with myself I just have trouble doing it...
So right now I don't know what to write...
Ha ha that reminds me of something...
In 5th grade our teacher told us to write a poem...
We had to start the poem with "Let me introduce myself"
And yet again because I had to write something about myself I didn't know what to write
So that's what I wrote
Then that one line blossomed into a whole poem...
So Let me introduce myself...

Let me introduce myself,
I don't know what to write
My trash can is full
My brain is empty
My sea has turned into a pond
Its like a wall is wrapped around my mind,
not letting new ideas flow in
Trapped
Neglected from my thoughts
Why cant I think?!?
My train of thought has slowed down
Its like someone erased my memories
Or vacuumed them up
Never to be remembered again
My brain electricity has gone out and--
Wait...
Im Thinking!

Me....

Hey... I don't know what to blog about:)
Well for starters I love the color purple... I dyed two stripes of my hair purple, and I'm wearing a purple shirt, purple pants and my nails are purple too:)
I love... music, singing, art/drawing, hugs, reading, writing, poetry, being random, converse, friends/meeting new people, going to/watching movies, Broadway musicals, and that's all I can think of for now:D
